Buy IMR Red Smokeless Gun Powder In 2022
IMR Red is one of a new IMR family of powders that have comparable burn speeds to competitor powders. This new IMR family uses new, modern technology to ensure the product is “green,” burns clean and, in most cases, results in more energy from each grain of powder. IMR powders are consistent in bulk densities from lot to lot, eliminating some of the variability inherent in other competitors. IMR Red Smokeless Gun Powder

IMR Red Smokeless Gun Powder
IMR Red is a 12-gauge target powder for light 7/8- to 1-1/8- oz. Handicap trap loads. Will produce efficient low charge weights, mild muzzle report and minimal recoil. Great for dove and light field 12- gauge loads! Performs well in various lead pistol target loads, such as match competition loads and cowboy action reduced loads.
For shotshell usage, powder densities are similar to competitor data. Most shotshell data is similar, but IMR recommends always consulting www.IMRReloading.com for the most accurate, up-to-date data and bushing charts.

I use the IMR Red for loading my shotgun shells. Great product. Burns very clean. Cheaper in cost than Clay powder but just as good
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Good powder

I grabbed this because it is a dual pistol/shotgun powder. I however can not find any data on this new stuff. I am currently using 20 grains of imr red with 2 3/4″ 12 guage shells with 9 pieces of 00 buck. It seems a bit slow. If someone else finds good data for this stuff post it please.

IMR Red
I use for loading 12 gauge shot shells. I use for 7/8 to 1 1/8 shot loads and stick wih the Hodgen reloading data. Going to be my go to for dove and clays as it is the best clean burning and my shotguns love it. Very consistent and meters great!

IMR Red for 44SP
Works great for me in a 44 special at 4.4 with 240 LSWC. Very accurate with my 3 inch revolver and 22 inch cva single shot, under a inch 5 shot at 20 yards. All bullet holes touch or overlap if I do my part. Have to hand measure cuz does not meter well for me in a Lee Pro Disk, But that is ok cuz it shoots so well it is worth it.

IMR red
I really like this powder, I used it for a full year now, performs well in cold weather -15 and warm 90+

IMR Red
The most accurate powder ever in .45 Colt 185 grain semi-wadcutter target velocity loads. It’s been discontinued, I hope IMR brings it back. In 48 years of reloading for the old Colt cartridge, I have never used a better smokeless propellant.
