It could have been just the lot i got, but I was coming a whole 8 rounds short from the amount of rounds i should make from 1lb of powder. 7000gr divided by 58gr per round +-120 rnds. Then i weighed the next container to come short of the written Net Wt. 1lb It was right at 25oz. The total weight of the container is 27oz. So it’s a bit short… It’s a great powder but the manufacturer should calibrate their scales Mine was calibrated prior to this measuring session.

Across the board performance in 300 win mag and 243. Absolute deer poison with 90 gr Speer bullet in 243. If 243 won’t shoot imr 4350 sell the gun.

Since the early 80’s I have used IMR 4350 powder for a 264 magnum. Back then the bullet selection was minimal with 129 gr soft points being the main projectile. I loaded the 264 at the lowest velocity according the manuals and had excellent results both accuracy and bullet performance with minor meat damage to game animals.

It just shoots well in everything I have ever loaded it in. We just retuned from the range and my wife put five shots into one hole that easily covered with a dime. That was 41 gr under a Hornady 100gr Interlock, with a CCI BR primer in a 243 model 700 youth. That gun flat out loves this load with 34.6gr IMR 4064 close behind. Just get it in stock Pieceedge.

Just had a memory that came back after writing the last review, and thought I would share it – one of those shots you never forget. I stopped hunting for about 15 years, still shooting pistols. Went out with a friend and his son for the first try at coyotes. He is Mr. Hunter personified, hunts all the time, generally successful, with a .270 he has had for 40 years. My 700 had not been fired in 15 years, so didn’t have confidence in the scope – or ammo as it had been sitting for 15 years. He placed 3 1/2 gal. milk jugs with water at 385 yards as he wanted to shoot at tha distance, one jug for each of us. Mr. Hunter took 5 shots to finally nick it. His son, with an expensive Ruger .308 and more expensive scope, took 4 shots and knocked it over without breaking it. My turn, thinking I had no chance, could not recall if it was zeroed at 100 or 200. Held on the top of the jug and it absolutely exploded ! I will never let him live that one down.

I have been using this product for 20 years, Primarily I use with a 30-06, 180 grain Nosler Partition bullet. All hunting rounds the brass is trimmed to within .003 inch. I use 53.5 grains of 4350. I shoot a Kimber rifle, have little recoil and superior accuracy and relatively flat trajectory out to 200 yards. I still load with 4895, but still prefer 4350

I started reloading in 1963. At that time only three brands of powder were readily available in this country. They were DuPont (now IMR), Hercules (now Alliant), and Winchester. When I started, I only loaded three rifle cartridges, .303 British, .30-30 Ackley Improved, and occasionally .30-06, but IMR4064 was my powder of choice choice for all three and is still one of my favorites. After I acquired a ,30-40 Krag rifle recently, I noticed that the Lee reloading manual listed pressures for IMR powders and showed 7% lower pressure for 3% less velocity than the max listed for 150 Gr. jacketed bullets. As pressure is a serious concern when loading for a rifle that is nearly 120 years old, I decided to try IMR4350. I now use ir exclusively in 30-40, and am now testing it in all the rifles I load for exceopt the M-! Garand. It is too slow for the M-1.
